neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.8TSKCOMആത്മാവിനെ തടുപ്പാൻ ആത്മാവിന്മേൽ അധികാരമുള്ള ഒരു മനുഷ്യനുമില്ല; अर्यात् उनकी तो कब्र बनी, परन्तु जिन्होंने ठीक काम किया या वे पवित्रस्यान से निकल गए और उनका स्मरण भी नगर में न रहा; यह भी व्यर्य ही है।11TSKCOMBecause sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.11TSKCOMദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കുള്ള ശിക്ഷാവിധി തൽക്ഷണം നടക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു മനുഷ്യർ ദോഷം ചെയ്വാൻ ധൈര്യപ്പെടുന്നു.11TSKCOMDushpravrithikkulla shikshaavidhi thalkshanam natakkaaykakontu manushyar dosham cheyvaan dhairyappetunnu.11TSKCOMबुरे काम के दण्ड की आज्ञा फुर्ती से नहीं दी जाती; इस कारण मनुष्योंका मन बुरा काम करने की इच्छा से भरा रहता है।12TSKCOMThough a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him:12TSKCOMപാപി നൂറു പ്രാവശ്യം ദോഷം ചെയ്കയും ദീർഘായുസ്സോടെ ഇരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിലും ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്ന ഭക്തന്മാർക്കു നന്മ വരുമെന്നു ഞാൻ നിശ്ചയമായി അറിയുന്നു.12TSKCOMPaapi nooru praavashyam dosham cheykayum deerghaayussote irikkayum cheyyunnuntengkilum daivathe bhayappetunna bhakthanmaarkku nanma varumennu njaan nishchayamaayi ariyunnu.12TSKCOMचाहे पापी सौ बार पाप करे अपके दिन भी बढ़ाए, तौभी मुझे निश्चय है कि जो परमेश्वर से डरते हैं और अपके तई उसको सम्मुख जानकर भय से चलते हैं, उनका भला ही होगा;13TSKCOMBut it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.13TSKCOMഎന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടന്നു നന്മ വരികയില്ല; അവൻ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടായ്കയാൽ നിഴൽപോലെ അവന്റെ ആയുസ്സു ദീർഘമാകയില്ല.13TSKCOMEnnaal dushtannu nanma varikayilla; avan daivathe bhayappetaaykayaal nizhalpole avanre aayussu deerghamaakayilla.13TSKCOMपरन्तु दुष्ट का भला नहीं होने का, और न उसकी जीवनरूपी छाया लम्बी होने पाएगी, क्योंकि वह परमेश्वर का भय नहीं मानता।।14TSKCOMThere is a vanity which is done upon the earth; that there be just men, unto whom it happeneth according to the work of the wicked; again, there be wicked men, to whom it happeneth according to the work of the righteous: I said that this also is vanity.14TSKCOMഭൂമിയിൽ നടക്കുന്ന ഒരുമായ ഉണ്ടു: നീതിമാന്മാർക്കു ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു യോഗ്യമായതു ഭവിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാർക്കു നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു യോഗ്യമായതും ഭവിക്കുന്നു; അതും മായ അത്രേ എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.14TSKCOMBhoomiyil natakkunna orumaaya untu: neethimaanmaarkku dushtanmaarute pravrithikku yogyamaayathu bhavikkunnu; dushtanmaarkku neethimaanmaarute pravrithikku yogyamaayathum bhavikkunnu; athum maaya athre ennu njaan paranjnju.14TSKCOMएक व्यर्य बात पृय्वी पर होती है, अर्यात् ऐसे धर्मी हैं जिनकी वह दशा होती है जो दुष्टोंकी होनी चाहिथे, और ऐसे दुष्ट हैं जिनकी वह दशा होती है हो धमिर्योंकी होनी चाहिथे। मैं ने कह कि यह भी व्यर्य ही है।15TSKCOMThen I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun.15TSKCOMആകയാൽ ഞാൻ സന്തോഷത്തെ പ്രശംസിച്ചു; തിന്നു കുടിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നതല്ലാതെ മനുഷ്യന്നു സൂര്യന്റെ കീഴിൽ മറ്റൊരു നന്മയുമില്ലല്ലോ; ദൈവം സൂര്യന്റെ കീഴിൽ അവന്നു നല്കുന്ന ആയുഷ്കാലത്തു അവന്റെ പ്രയത്നത്തിൽ അവനോടുകൂടെ നിലനില്ക്കുന്നതു ഇതുമാത്രമേയുള്ളു.15TSKCOMAakayaal njaan santhoshathe prashamsichu; thinnu kutichu santhoshikkunnathallaathe manushyannu sooryanre keezhil marroru nanmayumillallo; daivam sooryanre keezhil avannu nalkunna aayushkaalathu avanre prayathnathil avanotukoote nilanilkkunnathu ithumaathrameyullu.15TSKCOMतब मैं ने आनन्द को सराहा, क्योंकि सूर्य के नीचे मनुष्य के लिथे खाने-पीने और आनन्द करने को छोड़ और कुछ भी अच्छा नहीं, क्योंकि यही उसके जीवन भर जो परमेश्वर उसके लिथे धरती पर ठहराए, उसके परिश्र्म में उसके संग बना रहेगा।।16TSKCOMWhen I applied mine heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done upon the earth: (for also there is that neither day nor night seeth sleep with his eyes:)16TSKCOMഭൂമിയിൽ നടക്കുന്ന കാര്യം കാണ്മാനും -- മനുഷ്യന്നു രാവും പകലും കണ്ണിൽ ഉറക്കം വരുന്നില്ലല്ലോ -- ജ്ഞാനം ഗ്രഹിപ്പാനും ഞാൻ മനസ്സുവെച്ചപ്പോൾ16TSKCOMBhoomiyil natakkunna kaaryam kaanmaanum -- manushyannu raavum pakalum kannil urakkam varunnillallo -- jnjaanam grahippaanum njaan manassuvechappol16TSKCOMजब मैं ने बुद्धि प्राप्त करने और सब काम देखने के लिथे जो पृय्वी पर किए जाते हैं अपना मन लगाया, कि कैसे मनुष्य रात-दिन जागते रहते हैं;17TSKCOMThen I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea further; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.17TSKCOMസൂര്യന്റെ കീഴിൽ നടക്കുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തി ആരാഞ്ഞറിവാൻ മനുഷ്യന്നു കഴിവില്ല എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സകല പ്രവൃത്തിയെയും കണ്ടു; മനുഷ്യൻ എത്ര പ്രയാസപ്പെട്ടു അന്വേഷിച്ചാലും അതിനെ ഗ്രഹിക്കയില്ല; ഒരു ജ്ഞാനി തന്നേയും അതിനെ ഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ നിരൂപിച്ചാൽ അവന്നു സാധിക്കയില്ല.17TSKCOMSooryanre keezhil natakkunna pravrithi aaraanjnjarivaan manushyannu kazhivilla enningane njaan daivathinte sakala pravrithiyeyum kantu; manushyan ethra prayaasappettu anveshichaalum athine grahikkayilla; oru jnjaani thanneyum athine grahippaan niroopichaal avannu saadhikkayilla.17TSKCOMतब मैं ने परमेश्वर का सारा काम देखा जो सूर्य के नीचे किया जाता है, उसकी याह मनुष्य नहीं पा सकता। चाहे मनुष्य उसकी खोज में कितना भी परिश्र्म करे, तौभी उसको न जान पाएगा; और यद्यिप बुद्धिमान कहे भी कि मैं उसे समझूंगा, तौभी वह उसे न पा सकेगा।।
